ARTEMISIA ABSINTHIUM WORMWOOD HERB

This 1/2 Bulk Pound of organic herb is available NOW to order

General information: Wormwood (or Artemisia absinthium) burned as incense, aids in evocation, divination, scrying and prophecy, increases psychic powers - it is a hallucinogenic. It is often combined with Mugwort herb. Wormwood strengthens spells of exorcism and protection.

According to the Ancients, Wormwood counteracted the effects of poisoning by hemlock, toadstools and the bite of the sea dragon.

The leaves resist putrefaction, and have been on that account, a principal ingredient in antiseptic fomentations. It is very wholesome and used by brewers instead of hops.

Wormwood is the primary ingredient in the making of Absinthe Liquour. This is commonly achieved by steeping wormwood in vodka. Absinthe, a drink with a long and controversial history, enjoyed its greatest popularity in late 19th century Europe, when Aleister Crowley, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Verlaine, Ernest Hemmingway and Oscar Wilde. It was an inseparable part of artistic life during that period of time. It is said to have inspired fine literature and great paintings. When consumed it is said to produce a unique euphoria and giddiness similar to nitrous oxide. Absinthe's association with the bohemian lifestyle worked to compound fears about its effects, much as has happened with marijuana in the United States. Absinthe was subsequently banned in many countries in the early 1900's.

Wormwood is commonly used as a tea by itself or beverage blend. As with all herbs and health issues, it is recommended that you make your medical physician aware of your intention of using it, and Wormwood should never be used in conjunction with operating equipment or driving an automobile.

Form & Weight: Dried, Cut, Half Pound Bulk. It is also burned on Charcoal Tablets as incense.
